PGCTC Board & Committee Openings

  • September 01, 2026
  • October 17, 2026

The Prince George’s County Technology Council is opening several board and committee seats, and we are looking for people who want to put their hands on something real.

This is not a resume line. Our board is small, the work is visible, and the people who step into these roles will directly shape what PGCTC does in 2027.

If that sounds like your kind of opportunity, keep reading.

Open Board Positions

Vice President

Support the President, lead the Annual Meeting, and help connect the work of our committees. The Vice President also steps in with full executive authority when the President is unavailable.

Treasurer

Own the Council’s financial operations, including deposits, accounting, quarterly financial reports to the Board, and leadership of the Finance Committee. This is a strong fit for someone with bookkeeping, accounting, or nonprofit finance experience.

Tech Director

Run the technology behind PGCTC, including our website, membership platform, and the digital tools supporting events, communications, and fundraising. This is a hands-on position with immediate impact.

Community Member Representative

Represent county residents on the Board and help identify where PGCTC’s programs can make the greatest difference. This seat is designated for an elected official from the community.

Associate Representative

Connect PGCTC with the legal, financial, consulting, and training firms that support the technology community. Help build partnerships that bring useful expertise and resources to county startups and businesses.

Open Committee Positions

Communications

Tell the Council’s story through social media, announcements, flyers, and consistent branding. If you write, design, create content, or manage social media, we want you.

Membership

Recruit new members, keep current members engaged, and help organize the Annual Meeting. This is a great fit if you are a natural connector who enjoys building community.

Finance

Advise the Board on budgeting and accounting, help develop the annual budget, and monitor the Council’s income and expenses.

Special Events

Plan and deliver the events that put PGCTC in front of the county, from selecting venues and managing budgets through day-of execution. If you enjoy turning ideas into memorable experiences, this committee is for you.

Administrative

Keep filings, licenses, records, board terms, and back-office operations on track. The work happens behind the scenes, but it is genuinely essential.

Facilities & Property

Support the Council’s space, equipment, and physical resources, including annual inventory and recommendations concerning leases, insurance, and purchases.

What We Ask

Most volunteers contribute approximately four to six hours per month, participate in board or committee meetings, and take ownership of their assigned work.

We are a working board, and we need people who are ready to contribute.

Who We Are Looking For

We want people who care about technology, education, economic opportunity, and Prince George’s County.

Experience in technology, education, finance, communications, operations, event planning, or community outreach is helpful. Energy, dependability, and follow-through matter just as much.

We welcome applicants from every background.
